The tortoise is a special symbol for our family. So, I did not need to thing a lot about the subject “animal” .
I’m proud and glad, Ladies and Gentlemen, to introduce and present at your attention – Macarena Tortoise, also known as the Queen Mexican-a. 
She’s sculptured out of papier mache (chewed paper) and decorated within napkin paper ropes. She is 16 * 9.5 cm young. 
Her social life is full of diversity – walks, friends, flowers, sunbath, etc.
She is even a fast runner than a ferrari! My daughter adores it (the tortoise, not the ferrari)! And I don’t see a reason to don’t vote for it (the tortoise, not my daughter)

Pafta

The original pieces was used as a belt buckle in the traditional woman wear in the region of Balkan Peninsula. Here you can see a beautiful pictures of pafta. Their dimension, form and decorations may vary. I was excited about the possibility to create a paper copy of this nice buckle and to offer it as a contemporary finery, first – because it is really a lovely piece of art and second – it is an important part of the ancient history and culture of the nation.
I cut the desired forms from cardboard boxes and glue crepe paper to cover them.
I assembled the card board layers and decorated with paper lines. Afterwards I varnished the pieces. You need just to fix a belt or a simple piece of cloth and wear your old – new fashion jewels.
The pink mother

I was so surprised and so excited when I received the Pink mother card as a thank you gift from Niili. So surprised that I needed more than a month to have my thrill down up and write these calm lines
I would like to say to all of you that Niili is a great friend, a non stopping spring of inspirations, support and motivation. She is, obviously also a talented crafter, so do not hesitate to visit her Etsy shop.

I know this place from my childhood. It have always been a special one, that brings to me a peace, a lot of positive energy and inspiration. It’s obvious why, when you see even some of the pictures I’ve done there. It was a great pleasure for me to return at this old mountain wild park with my little daughter.
Cock doll and pattern

I’ve done this paper one at about one year ago as an eastern gift for my daughter’s friend. However this cock is pretty good toy for all seasons and can be made not just from paper, but from a fabric too.
The pattern (should be printable) is simple and easy to create.
Description of the pieces:
1. Body (8.5 x 8.5 cm) – 1 piece
2. Wings and tail – 3 pieces of each color (6 pieces total in my case)
3. Base of the body – 1 piece
4. Beak – 1 piece
5. Foots – 1 piece
6. Eyes – 2 pieces
7. Cock’s comb – 2 pieces

Form a cone from piece 1, fill it with cotton and close it with the cover 3. Glue the cone to the foots (5), add the other pieces in order as you like it.
The finished cock doll is at around 13 cm high.

Knick-knack

I like the little things and I’m addicted to details. When an year and a half ago I red some publications about “inches” (the little square pieces at 1×1 inch) I decided to try a variation of them.
Hm, poor me, I didn’t even suspect how passionating this job can be!
The very first knick-knack pieces I’ve made was from cardboard squares (1*1 cm), the front part was stamped with the frog stamps of my daughter and sloppy colored. The back side was covered with tissue paper.
The second one is a flower embroidered on a fabric. I don’t remember how its back was made, but I suggest that there was a second square glued to hide the edges of the fabric.
As I said in the beginning to make a knick-knacks is very addictive job, so I wasn’t able just to stop my experiments.
The next pieces are made from the rests of a picture that I used for a card. They are not square, but are even smaller than 1*1 cm. Almost the same is the story about the little fishes.
And what about the embroidery on a cardboard? These are my favorite pieces! I just made holes on the card board and embroidered what came in my mind.
I don’t like quilling very much, but I tried it also for the knick-knack. As you can see on the picture I varnished very well the pieces to make them harder. And just to add splendor I glued a pieces on a handmade paper.
The finished pieces are good to be used in a different projects. They fit to zippers, bracelets, pendants, cards, gift boxes etc.
These are made only from paper, now I’m experimenting to make a fabric and button ones.

From a jar to a vase

I’ve dressed up these jar and yogurt pots and planted inside a lentils for Easter natural decoration.
Now the jar is a vase. I like its colors. The chestnut blossom liked them too. Together the blossom and the jar are a joyful, pretty spot on the gray urban environment.

Paper beads out of napkins

To catch the wind

One of my favorite places for the summer days and nights is the sea beach. I’m in love with everything there – the water, the sun, the sand, the wind, etc. I adore the smell, the light, the sounds. To keep a piece of them during the rest of the year (and specially to survive a little bit easy the cold and dark winter) I decided to catch the sound of the wind in the sea shells.
It’s super easy and you need just natural materials as shells and wooden sticks, some thread and no special instruments, but only pliers, screw-driver and needle.
Use your imagination to put all of the materials together.
And, yes, you can do it on the beach. It’s even better to do it there, because you can listen immediately how the wind is playing at the instrument.

In fact the butterflies are more than 33. 33 is the number of the invitations for the spring party that I made some months ago.
Not all of them are beautiful, but there are some really pretty ideas which may be used as an inspiration for a similar projects.
